If you have any email addresses in any form on your website, please take a moment to read all of this and think about it... Imagine getting hundreds of unsolicited garbage "spam" emails EVERY time you open your mailbox... If your email address is on a website, this WILL happen to you. Maybe not this year or next, but by 2004? -- bet on it. Here's the most important part though -- do you have somebody else's email address on your website? Think of the disservice you're doing to this poor fellow! You may have chosen to accept the consequences of having your own email address on your website (perhaps you figure you'll just change your email address every year or so). Remember that if your businesses email address is printed on letterhead or packaging, you really can never change that address again so this plan won't work. CHANCES ARE GOOD THAT YOU DO HAVE SOMEONE ELSE'S EMAIL ADDRESS ON YOUR WEBSITE -- MINE! If you have a "mailto" link for POSTMASTER, ABUSE or HOSTMASTER at your domain, any spam to that address goes to me. So -- even if you don't wish to bother for yourself, please consider using the Vintners.Net 'sendemail' script; at least for email addresses that point to others. http://www.vintners.net/ click "Customer information", then "Configuration information", tand finally "sendemail script use". I will be happy to help you implement it in any of your pages, just reply to this email.
